This institution dares to claim as its guiding principle the message of Swami Vivekananda pronounced in 1898 for the total upliftment of grass root level human beings specially at individual level in our society through education, health care and rural upliftment programmes.
Social Upliftment
Social upliftment is a great challenge. Along with spread of education and overall development specially in rural sector, moral upliftment and discipline in life and activities are of great importance.
Our Gurudev, Srimat Swami Himangshu Maharaj, a direct disciple of Holy Mother Sarada Devi has inspired us to take up Swami Vivekananda's dream for the upliftment and spiritual growth of human beings of all creed, caste and religion, who crave for insight into the purpose and ultimate aim of life.
We are proud to have achieved little success in working for and guiding people in the areas mentioned here, with the help of dedicated workers. The teachings and principles of life, highlighted by Swami Vivekananda have given us the impetus to ignore the hurdles coming in the way to achieve our end.

We strongly believe in action and do not give up our endeavor when difficulties come in the way; rather obstacles give us new strength to work harder and move on.
Our dream is yet to be fulfilled, hopefully in the years to come with divine blessing and guidance. We pray to Almighty to grant us confidence and fortitude to carry on with Swami Vivekananda's unfinished work in New Town, Kolkata and its adjoining areas.

About our President
Sanjit Kumar Mohanta is a highly honest and righteous individual who has dedicated himself to social work from a very early age. In 2010, both he and his wife, Sikha Mohanta, became disciples of Swami Tapananda Jee Maharaj from Ramakrishna Sarada Math, Kolkata.

Our President finds his strength in the teachings of Swami Tapananda Jee Maharaj, who dedicated his life to spiritual knowledge and social service since the age of 14, initiated under the direct lineage of Holy Mother Sarada Devi.
